Prudentius, a Christian Roman poet from Spain, wrote several books of poems and hymns. This one is from the Liber Cathemerinon, a book of hymns for various hours and holy days.
Bonus tracks are included: "Inventor Rutili", a Latin chant hymn drawn from the first 12 lines of the "Hymn for the Lighting of the Lamps", both in Latin and English. Also, "Hymn for the Burial of the Dead".
